The Duke, Richmond

I wasn't familiar with the previous place but I have to say that the Duke, as it is now, is a very fine pub - nice ales, great food and a very relaxed atmosphere. Appreciate that this may upset those who missd the Page, but I can only review what is there now, and I for one will be going again.

The Oakford Social Club, Reading

Been here a couple of times; Once on a Friday night when the suits were out after work, and once on a Sunday avo', when it was quiet and the draught was off - all of it!

Aside from the 'draught issue' the Social is a nice boozer and the food looked great, altough I didn't eat myself. I nice alternative to some other boozers nearby.

The Three Guineas, Reading

Only ever been here when travelling with the football down to the Royals, but it ticks all the right boxes for away fans - it's next door to the station, it sells beer and the buses to the ground go from outside.

O'Neills, Kingston Upon Thames

This isn't my argument but it sounds like the manager should ease up a bit. I've been told off for supporting my team in here before, and that was on a day when the staff refused to put the sound on! A hint for footy fans - watch the game elsewhere: the Druids Head around the corner is good.

The Drum and Monkey, Dorridge

Echo everything from the last post. The Bum & Spunkey should take a leaf out of the Forest's book because it's in a great location, but it's rubbish. The only real thing it has going for it is the large beer garden which is great in the Summer.

The Railway Inn, Dorridge

And it's still like your Grannie's lounge! Since the smoking ban came in you can really the smell the old people/stale beer, but it's still great food and beer - good old fashioned boozer. No music, no TV, no fruit machines, no pool table but still brilliant!

The Forest, Dorridge

No reviews for a while so just a quick one to say that The Forest is still there and is still pretty darn good. Great selection of lagers, and I always have a headache the next day, which says a lot!

I was last there on Xmas Eve and, despite the fact that I'd paid 6 to get in along with (apparently) 599 other people, the service was good and the atmosphere great. Well done to the owners.

The Red Lion, Thames Ditton

.....and it's open again now, and you can add pool table and sports on the box too. Seems an imrovement if you ask me, but then I wasn't a regular before it shut and they may think differently.

O'Neills, Wimbledon

This pub doesn't have so much "something for everyone", but more like "something from everyone"...the toilets were a swimming pool of...well, you know what. That and the beer was pants.
