took the misses there last week and it was decent good food well presented and not to bad on the pocket def worth a visit

Agree it is a bit hit & miss but we watched some good football games here last summer and there was a great atmoshere

It's quieter than it used to be but it's still a nice little boozer

It's much better now reminiscent of when Foxy & Barb were there still not over busy but it's still eary days for the new managemnt

It's rather overpriced but the bar has a lovely atmosphere and Enzo always gives you a warm welcome and the food is generally of a very high standard

You can't please everybody all of the time but I think this pub is the best in the area, friday nights down the crown are legendary

I like the food, and the real ale is kept to perfection but agree theres not much atmosphere

It's a great place to sit on a nice warm summer evening food is reasonably priced and the service is good

Pub is under new managment and closed for refurb until the 18th when it relaunches with a weller tribute act, hopefully this will breathe some new life into the goldie cos it had really gone downhill over the last few months will go back and give it a go and re-post after the re-launch

This pub is lovely on a sunny day it's not the cheapest but the food is great doesnt have the mass produced feel to it that some pubs do wouldnt hesitate to go back

it isn't as good as it used to be we went for a family meal but were kept waiting for a long time but the price was resonable wouldn't hurry back

it has a different feel to it these days more of a food orientation but the new owners are nice and make you feel welcome it still has a locals feel to it

another change of landlord so will return in a few weeks and review it again to see if it's improved

Got to be the best place for watching footie loving the c&a england t-shirts and the pub looks really good inside and out we're loving it
