The Swan Inn, Kington

I had one night in kington, needed to go to ludlow and just needed to stop off for a break, went to this pub, 3 real ales on, 2 really good, mayfield copper fox and also a drink that ive had many times london pride, both exceptional however the hay bluff beer must be and aquired taste, landlady really nice asked if i wanted to try a taste of all beers before committing, very friendly, had a sizzling steak, wow the portion was enormous, paid out a total of 17.00 whilst there in drink and food, well worth it, lovely atmosphere, candlelite, really nice, if i am ever passing that way again i would even consider a night stay, breakfast apparantly are amazing.. trig.

The Radnor Arms, New Radnor

called at this pub it was really friendly , landlord unusual humour but for a saturday evening not many in but we had a great meal, we had the baguettes served with chips, warm and friendly , it did go quiet when we walked in but wasnt long before we felt accepted, locals are part and parcel of the character of the pub, great lady call mal a customer who really made us laugh, beer was cold and just what we needed, would definetly go again.

Ewe and Lamb, Kington

not sure what to say really , this was one of the pubs on our few days visit to kington this we found to be the unfriendliest of them all, no food no good real ales to speak of and wont be going again,

The Royal George Inn, Kington

decided to take a trip to this pub whilst stopping at the swan in kington , the landlady recommended it, unfortunately it wasnt what we were looking for, bit of a wait for food it was okay but doubt we will go again, shame really as pub itself is really lovely but it was a pub that goes quiet when you walk in, our beer was okay but thats about it.

Had bed & breakfast at the swan, wasnt looking forward to it as had read some of the reviews which filled us with horror, how wrong can people be, we had great stay for 3 nights , the landlady was amazing , nothing was too much trouble we needed some ironing doing without any fuss it was taken and returned within half hour , found everyone that worked their real pleasant, and we too had china cups and saucers how quaint , real family place, we will be returning for weekend before christmas,
