The Dukes Head, Hamstreet

I was pleasantly surprised. This is a village pub not a gastro pub which is reflected in the prices. My cod and chips cost £5.75. The Greene King IPA was excellent . The decor of the pub is 1970's. The staff were both friendly and polite.

The Oak, Charing

The pub has been renovated inside so it has a modern feel. The beer was alright but the beer garden was full of chavs yelling and swearing at each other.

The Swan, Ashford

This pub is a sports pub with many TV screens. The hobgoblin ale was excellent and the pub now has alot of comfotable seating. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly.

The Bell Inn, Romney Marsh

Pretty beer garden. Good range of real ales. The St Austell brewery beer I tasted was excellent.

Farriers Arms, Mersham

Good beer. Poor quality soup and bread rolls. The bread was stale.

The Hoodener's Horse, Great Chart

This pub has greatly improved since I last visited it 5 years ago. It has a good selection of real ales and mexican food. I enjoyed the westons cider. The only drawback is that the popular pub has become too expensive. Just under 10 for a burger and chips and 2 for a small cut of tea made with a tesco teabag.

The Bishops Finger, Canterbury

I tried Master Brew in this pub. The beer cost 3.40 per pint but tasted terrible.

Dunkerley's, Deal

This is a bistro/restaurant rather than a pub. I had a good pint of Tribute, a Cornish ale and an outstanding plate of fish and chips.
