The Fox and Castle, Old Windsor

After recently moving to the area I had heard a lot about its old reputation, however after those bad years I feel it is becoming a wonderful pub. 3 beers on, usually courage best, old speckled hen and either sheppards neame spitfire/Adnams broadside. The food is excellent and well priced, the chefs don't mind if your fussy and will do their best to cater for you. I would defiantly recommend the Sunday roast. Its the kind of pub where you see the same faces day after day. The drink prices are average/high, with lagers between 3.20 and 3.60 and spirits with soda about 2.50. The building is traditional and and beautiful, especially in the summer. The beer garden is large with plenty of tables and a trampoline and goal post for the kids. I really hope this pub takes off and people put aside any prejudice they may have previously had for the pub.

The White Lion, Egham

My friends wanted to go there because of the pool table, so I thought I'd give it a go. What a grimy, sleazy pub of pervy old men. A pint of fosters was 2.10 (Im not sure what the price is now, this was about a year ago), however even if they charged 50p for a pint, I still wouldn't go back. The rough unapproachable clientele made it an unpleasant and intimidating experience.

The Crown, Egham

Nice busy atmosphere with a real mixture of locals from foreign students to old men mumbling to themselves over their ale. On Saturday nights the musics good and loud, with the occasional band playing. The staff are friendly and remember what you usually drink. The food is reasonably well priced. Easily my favourite pub in Egham.
