The Prince Of Wales, North Shields

A little gem down on the quayside, a proper pub, friendly people and staff and the Sam Smiths was second to none.Had the old cask and the stout both were in tip top order.

The Cluny, Ouseburn

Has everything going for it, good beer range, but all served flat and lifeless for a premium price i expect a premium product and it wasnt.

A shame really as it would be so easy to make it perfect.

Looks a great venue for live bands too.

The Newcastle Arms, Newcastle

As usual great atmosphere top notch varied selection of ales for the enthusiast.
One of the friendliest and best pubs you could wish to visit, and a must on a newcastle crawl.

Hawkshead Brewery Beer Hall, Staveley

In my world beers should be served how the BREWER requests it , which is exactly what you will get here.I dont understand why anyone would want the great beers Hawkshead make served flat.
This place is a good example of how a modern building can be a pleasing place to sit and enjoy a beer, and the recent festival was without doubt the best i have ever been to and Camra should take note it is possible to serve 60+ ales all as you would get them in the brewers tap house from all over the country.

The William IV, Leyton

Terrific range of Bodies beers available, and a nice pub to visit, friendly staff and willing to give tasters is a real help with so many on offer.

Definately a pub for real ale lovers to add to their list.

The Southampton Arms, Gospel Oak

A lovely looking little ale house with a fine selection of beers, unfortunately all served flat, perhaps this is what the customers want but it is imo a waste of time getting brews from many parts of the country and then serving them lifeless.
Its a disservice to the brewer not trying to serve ale as he would in his own tap house.
It would be so easy to turn this into a 10 pub as everything else about the place seemed so right for a real ale enthusiast, but it has to be about the beer.

The Punchbowl, The Green
