have visited several times whilst on holiday in Newquay, well worth the train fare to Par and the short walk, Real Ale always perfect, friendly locals and lovely atmosphere, highly recommended.

Lanherne Pub and Restaurant, Newquay
No complaints last visit, very pleasant pint of Ale with a read of newspapers, will go again, didn't try food but there were others doing so.

The Quintrell Inn, Quintrell Downs
Changed hands a few weeks ago and when I visited had two real ales instead of the previous single offering, I enjoyed two well presented pints of Jail Ale. Also advertises free childrens play area and was very busy serving food, seems like new Guv'ner has better ideas.

I've always enjoyed a pint here but last visit in late October 2013 they were offering 20% off the real ales for CAMRA members, I took full advantage of the offer, good ale selection as well.

The Gog and Magog, Plymouth
I am disappointed and a bit puzzled to see so many negative comments, particularly about staff attitude and real ale, can't comment about food but the ales are always well kept on my visits and have never met any other than obliging staff, maybe I'm lucky or easily pleased !
