The Crown, Aston End

I've heard good things about this pub, so I popped in while on a local stroll; all 3 handpumps are now back in use, with Buntingford and Rebellion alongside Greene King IPA. Had a couple of pints of Buntingford Apollo, in excellent condition. Nice relaxed atmosphere, family and dog-friendly. Will be back for a meal in the not-too-distant future.

The Pineapple, Kentish Town

My first visit here today. Friendly and approachable staff, and the Camden Town Inner City Green went down very well - both of them!!

25 May 2011 19:58

The Harp, Covent Garden

My first visit today. Excellent Pints of Dark Star Hophead and Partridge - I'll be back again. Soon.

I was in over the weekend, as usual. The ales are still varied and taste on top form, it's great that things are looking up again.

Rumor has it there will be a Beer Festival over the Halloween Weekend...

I've been using the pub for a while, not had a bad beer yet. The service is always pretty quick, although you can be kept waiting if there's a crowd in the larger front bar and there's only one person serving.

The range of beers turns over really quickly - I've known five be changed after line cleaning in the course of an evening; a tribute to the enthusiasm and knowledge of the staff, and the landlord's planning.
