Orgasmic Caf, York

Read 'provincial' instead of 'provisional' above. My secretary has just had a pay cut.

The Harrow Inn, Caterham

Only been here once near Xmas time during the afternoon. Came in from a long walk having been lashed by rain. They let the dog in. Was greeted to a deserted pub and chose a nice spot right by the wood burner to dry out. Ale good and had local brews too. Charming pub all in all.

The Sportsman 'Time Well Spent', Mogador

Good, proper public house. Great location, good beer. Decent atmosphere good mix of regulars and passing trade (walkers, riders etc). Not eaten here for a long time but was pretty good if i remember.

The Castle, Outwood

Quality Inn. Excellent ale including Harveys, solid food reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere with cheerful landlord. Good mix of characters and dogs allowed in to. No pikies too which isnt surprising given its isolated location.

The Feathers, Merstham

Good place really. Mixed crowd - young locals from the wrong side of the tracks mix with wealthier older set. Quite young generally. Good selection of ale and the food is good and of reasonable quality.

The Roman Bath, York

Pretty dire interior and relatively unremarkable in all other ways except there was once a hugely muscled man whom literally punched himself across the table and off his chair in a drunken challenge to himself. Can only assume he was some sort of 'jock'.

Orgasmic Caf, York

Been once, good density of attractive women for a provisional establishment, and its main feature.

The Kings Arms, York

Nice on a late summers afternoon. Reasonable grog, great location.

The Lendal Cellars, York

Good pub. Decent selection of ales, interesting venue inside. Good long tables for mass drinking games on an all-dayer. Solid.

The Hansom Cab, York

Decent pub. Great old-school leather chairs. Selection of normal horrific Sam Smiths liquor. Was good when they had D-Pills for its intoxifying effects. Great venue to pop into on an all day session to get out of the cold and take stock. Time-warp esq.

The Tickled Ivory Piano Lounge, Reigate

The comments so far seem a bit strange to me. For a start its clearly not a pub of any description. Its a piano bar. If your looking for a pub then your in the wrong place and will be disappointed.

I've been here about four times on the weekends and had a great time each visit. The live music is great, the entry fee and high prices keep the redhill contingent out generally as do the strict bouncers who clearly have a good idea of the clientele they want in here (attrative, well off professionals who are going to have fun, in the 25-40 age range, spend lots of money and not cause trouble). Because of this the atmosphere is great. I'll not praise it any further as its popular enough on weekends. Only down side is its only open till 1am on Saturdays and there's predictably no real ale.
