I visited the Rep yesterday with my wife as we were shopping in Ipswich and I was very impressed. We arrived during lunch time and even though the staff were extreamly busy they were very polite and friendly. We ordered food which arrived quickly and was excellent value for money. We wil definately make it our place to have lunch when we are shopping in the town once a month.

Been here twice. First visit was a great one. The staff are excellent, attentive & polite. The food was good, large portions and the price is just right. The second visit we went for an indian sampler platter, which has massive appeal. Unfortunately the onion bhajis were still frozen in the middle. I will try this place again, but only when I have tried other places first.

Has the potential to be a very good pub with its interesting layout and town centre location so it's such a shame that it falls short of that potential. Unfortunately it is catering to the same evening crowd as virtually every other Ipswich t/c pub. No ale available at all but plenty of binge drinking favourites. For the best experience go at a lunchtime when it is quieter. Menu was fairly standard to most chain pubs (range of burgers, salads and jacket potatoes with one or two more substantial meals) but it is a pleasant place to eat (provided you don't want a proper beer).

the only thing stopping this dive from being the worst pub in ipswich (and therefore propbably the world) is Yates' up the road.

and that's the only thing. absolute hole of a pub populated by the worst of chavdom with crap, loud dance music blaring out at a volume that will make your fillings rattle. choose the old rep & lose the will to live.

I can only echo what's been said here already.... not great, but OK if you want to go for a lager. Busy on Fridays and Saturdays, bit grubby, commercial music, looks like a Vegas outtake but on a much smaller scale.
