| Judging purely on the name alone, I had high hopes for this pub. Sounds like it Should be a delightful country pub. Sadly, it's not. It's a bit tired and run down looking. Only one ale on. | New landlady seems to be making a go of it and gives a warm welcome. Went in on a Monday night, was quiet as you'd expect but alright. Three real ales on if I remember correctly were Black Sheep, Golden Sheep and some stronger ale I forget. The Black Sheep was best as it had been selling most. It's quite nice sitting outside on a sunny day. Weekends apparently can be busy and there is karaoke on which isn't up everyone's alley so if you prefer a pint in peace try during the week or maybe Sunday. Bagsy - 28 Jul 2011 17:49 |
