| It's a fair walk from Hereford city centre to this pub, as I soon discovered! As previous reviews have said, it's a Greene King pub, with their IPA & Morland Original & Old Golden Hen on offer. The drinking area is an inverrted L-shape with a dining area towards the rear and a garden beyond. It was busy on my Saturday evening visit and it took a while to get served. | This was a brilliant pub for a GreeneKing one. I was pleasantly suprised to see the guest ales. They only had 1 Greene King on and that was a Ruddles beer. | A Green King "Big Plate Pub".Looking a bit worn now but a friendly welcome. Unusual is the fact this stocks guest ales and I have never had a bad pint here. Drank a few pints of White Star Titanic..lovely stuff. Also had White Horse bitter and Speckled Hen on hand pumps. Food is better than average for this chain. bee578 - 27 Aug 2008 10:41 |
