There’s a Sunday Times Magazine air about The Victory’s décor, and much emphasis on their cocktail menu. However, I have to say being served by someone on a mobile phone is a first for me, and I saw two people leave their pints and walk out during my stay there. Poor show on the service side and no real ale; it must be tough being located between the excellent Wargrave Arms and Duke of York, but must try harder.

Unfortunately this is a pub with all the character ripped out of it and consists of a fairly large single room with quite a few of the dreaded sofas. There is no ale that I could see and the only customers when I was in were a few local soaks. It might be better in the evenings but I don't think I'll be returning to find out.

working in a high pressure job in london i look foward to my evenings in the victory pub (just off edgware road )where i can relax over a nice beer or enjoy a meal from the thai menu.damien and the staff are always on hand to make your stay an enjoyable one.
