| after reading the reviews for the colliers thought i might write one myself....called into the colliers arms in skewen out of the blue after visiting an indian restaurant in skewen about 5 weeks ago..... was pleasantly surprised on the decor of the place.. it was spotlessly clean with very friendly staff who informed me at that time they had only been open around 2 weeks.... i have since been back to the colliers on 3 occasions to the same friendly welcome.... the new owners are really turning this pub around they have live music on fridays saturdays & sundays and are starting porker nights on thursdays....the only let down in this pub is that they dont do food but have been reliably informed by the staff that food is going to be served as soon as the restaurant/function room as been refurbished... so for all you out there that has visited in the past would love to see if your review has changed kassie69 - 28 Jul 2011 14:26 |

| The landlord must be related to the judge of the pub of the year competition because there are plenty of better pubs in Skewen, let alone Wales. Do yourself a favour if your in the area and visit somewhere else. welshlager - 18 Mar 2007 20:16 |
