| McMullens branded bar for the younger crowd. Visited on a Saturday night and the first bad sign was the three bouncers on the door. Inside it was pretty cavernous, and extremely busy. I never got far enough into the venue to notice that there were actually three ales on handpump - presumably McMullens ales. Crowd was predominantly young and dressed up, but there were a few old blokes (us included). Probably more palatable to the oldies during the week when it's less crowded. | This place seems to be Hertford�s answer to All Bar One, but being in Hertford it is obligatory for them to have a couple of ale offerings from McMullens. | I do not live in the area but have visited this pub on the past two occasions I have been in the area. My visits have been during the day and overall I have been happy. The food maybe a bit on the pricey side but its of good quality and service has always been quick. The place is clean and seems well run. I'll probably visit again. allyackles - 3 Jan 2009 21:00 |
