The Watering Trough seems to be going from strength to strength at the moment... new Open Mic Night, Karaoke, extra Band Nights as well as the usual Rock nights. ALSO returning to being an excellent Real Ale pub, only the 4th in Walsall town centre to be awarded the Cask Marque for the consistent quality of beer. Beer garden currently being developed too, new BBQ and talk of a new colour scheme!! Come and see us, say hello, and enjoy a quality pint!!

The pub has now gone back to being the Watering Trough again (I am sure in my youth there was an actual trough outside). This pub will not be to everyones taste but if you like your rock music then pop in. The beers not the greatest but the Abbot Ale was passable. Staff and clientele friendly enough

I've drunk in here for 20 years.....

It's not plush, but friendly enough. Beer choice limited, but my Guiness was good.

I had to write a second review of this pub. I make a point of visiting this pub whenever I drink in Walsall. The Mild is consistently excellent. And I love the quirky feel of the place. I can understand that, maybe, this pub might not be to everyone's taste. However, the Rising Sun is fast becoming one of my favourite stopping off places in Walsall. And I have increased my rating!
