Booked a table at their Friday night karaoke for a leaving do. Had a hilarious night out thanks to the staff and Andy the DJ. The food was good and sensibly priced as were the drinks but we had a scream during the karaoke. I have not sang and danced so much in ages, hopefully they will let us in again!!

This is essentially the Merseyside Embassy, a Liverpool supporters pub with a load of Scousers working behind the bar, great if you're a Liverpool FC fan.

The pub itself is fine, has a bit of a hotel lobby feel but they've tarted it up recently, along with the menu. Had a great steak with peppercorn sauce for less than 8 last night.

Only had one ale on last night, think it was Doom Bar, they have Moretti on tap which was very good.

No decent beer. No atmosphere. Indifferent service. What more needs to be said?

Looks like a footie 'n lager pub from the outside, and indeed once inside you immediately see an array of shiny fizz founts and several noisy televisions. However, there is a Greene King IPA handpump hidden away around the side of the bar. Beer was OK, and the barmaid friendly enough, but not a place to linger.
