The landlady deserves special mention. We ordered a couple of Hammerpot something or other which were a bit of a struggle but I don't think we're actually off. She offered to replace them after someone else in the pub didn't fancy theirs. Fantastic service. The Harvey's and Arundel Gold were as usual superb.

I like this pub more and more. Good beer, and made to feel welcome despite only infrequent visits. On our most recent the beers were Harveys, Adnams Broadside, Brains SA and the excellent Arundel Gold. Add in the tasty bar snacks and you've got a great pub. I'm used to London prices so 3 pints of Harveys for £9 was a pleasant surprise.

Not often you unearth a gem.
First visit, and made to feel very welcome with excellent beers and bar snacks. Harveys Best, Long Man Blonde & W J Kings Brighton Best, all hit the spot.
We will be back.

Super pub, actually the nearest one to Preston Park station. Lots of room inside and out (front and back). Lively staff and friendly customers. Good range of beers and of pizzas available at all times (warning: they can only cook one at a time!). Go there if you get the chance.

I visited this pub before the brighton game yesterday. although v busy i found the locals hospitable, the bar staff cheery, friendly and efficient, and would definitely go back. And the beer was good too!
