| Great pub in a stunning location, beer (Cropton Brewery Tap) is superb along with the food. The service can get a little strained if busy but it is well worth it. My only other comment, it would be nice if they had a guest ale from somewhere to compliment their own range but on the whole an outstanding country pub Bluejonno - 6 Jan 2012 17:39 |
| Country pub, that brews its' own beers, ranging from 3.6% to over 6%. Bottles can be bought to take away. Tried a pint of the Amber (5%), not to my liking, bit of harsh taste. Next, a pint of IPA (5%), which |I would highly recommend. Then a pint of Blackout (5%), which was a stout with a strong but strange treacle flavour, unsure about this one, might have to go back and have another pint. Place does food, the chips are possibly the best I've ever had in a pub. Dog friendly. Only gets 8 out of 10, as too family friendly.
