| Micropub on the main shopping street and probably Bridport's best pub. Although, it's been a while since I've been in some of the others. Ales are dispensed by handpull, with casks being visible through the window behind the bar. Ales were The Brew Shack 8 Grain Porter & Bill's Bitter, Brighton Bier South Coast, Siren Suspended In Equanot, Top Rope Sweet Beans Are Made of These & Quantock SLO. In addition, there was a good range of ciders - Dorset Nectar Wildcat, Old Harry Rocks & Sweet Maiden, West Milton Midnight Stumbler, Dorset Sunrise & Dorset Twilight & Bollhayes Half A-Sec. I'd not seen the Bollhayes cider before. So, I opted for that. It was the strongest and probably the driest. A CAMRA discount made it even more palateable. Staff were friendly. This is another decent micropub. blue_scrumpy - 12 Mar 2020 19:55 |

| Superb addition to the Bridport drinking scene! The previous post is bizarre : I have never experienced the service they have and its totally unrepresentative of the friendly and knowledgeable staff there and the great selection of beers, ciders and wines on offer. | Micro pubs are usually thought of as pubs filling a previous shop space and whilst devoid of other entertainments a warm chatty welcome is encountered, well not so here, non regulars are treated as suspect aliens who doubtlessly have a bomb in their rucksack.Prices are as high as they possibly could be,the Tiger,Woodman, etc are cheaper. In a town blessed with great proper pubs this place is an irrelevance at best and an irritation at worst. slerpy - 1 Mar 2018 17:20 |
