| Delighted to find a pub in this area that was open on a Saturday afternoon. In the summer. This was number 3 of the day, having failed at Onecote and Butterton. Unpretentious pub offering two real ales - one eponymous, the other a decent Pedigree - as recommended to me by friendly locals. | Nice friendly local. There was a darts game going on when I went in which had quite a bit of interest. The bar is located in the centre of the pub and you can get served from either side. There's some nice dark-wood panelling and the place has a nice character about it. There were a couple of ales on when I went in, both from Nottingham I believe.
