Being a Canary Wharf dwelling, real ale bore, I would have to grudgingly admit this place was no where near as bad I was expecting! Life on the Wharf though does cause you to revise your expectations of pubs (they are mainly bars) down significantly. The service was very speedy, they had among others Palm and Budvar on tap which was a welcome surprise. As for expense I was part of a very lavish leaving do, so only bought a couple at the tail end of the night. Taking the North Pole as the best pub around here by a distance, followed by a Ledger, this place would seem to be the most palatable of a whole slew of non-descript bars (Via Fossa being especially grim)

Yet another corporate bore-bar in Canary Wharf, with the usual over-loud music, no real beer and slow service. Extremely expensive, too. Why can't someone in Canary Wharf open a bar whose USP is NO MUSIC?????

Was in for a few drinks last night at this great bar and was so impressed by the service and great prices in such an over-priced part of London. They have a brilliant happy hour menu from 18:02 (clever!!) for two hours and the staff make superb cocktails... I don't get all the comments about slow service it was realy busy for a weds night and they served all four of us cocktails super-fast... must have sorted their staffing out I guess. Anyway - best bar in the area and I should know I've tried them all!

Last week , a friend of mine suggested 1802 instead of our regular bar 38. I must say i was not too keen as the outside area need a bit of work but as soon as I walk in, I enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff were extremelly friendly and were able to make the best Mojitos I have ever had.
The pricing is more that reasonable for the area. My Mojitos was 6.95 and my friend double vodka redbull was 6.50.
Finally a great chain free bar-restaurant in West India Quay.
Me and my friend were back in there 2 days later for lunch and the food was just fantastic.
10 for a main and a glass of wine, you can't go wrong.
IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN ALREADY, RUN TO 1802
