| Popped into the The Bell at Skenfrith for an afternoon pint during a recent summer holiday. Some might see it as being yet another soulless gastropub but we were all very impressed. The barman was most welcoming and a good range of local beers were on offer. Amazingly, we were the only ones there and were able to enjoy our ale in perfect peace in the immaculate garden. | Gastropub with a decent line of local beers and wines - Wye Valley bitter was nice and tasty. Olde world styling but very comfortbale. More for foodies, but a warm welcome and attentive service. Great location and place to go for a meal or Sunday lunch if on holiday in the area. Probably best to book ahead or turn up early- as it was packed by the time we left.
