Another popular pub on Saturday evening in Mirfield. Once you can get round the people hogging the bar, you should fine a few ales - Wells Bombardier, Copper Dragon Golden Pippin, Thwaites Wainwright & Blakemere Nectar on our visit. There are plenty of TV screens. Seemed popular with the younger drinking crowd. blue_scrumpy - 22 Apr 2014 21:38 |
Pub has really improved in the past year or so. Landlord is a really decent chap and keeps his glassware clean and his beer in cracking condition. The food is lovely there, reasonably priced. The beer garden is stunning and has its own designated mini bar. There's a reason why this pub's taking neighbouring pub's trade. Jonny27 - 17 Oct 2012 09:49 |
On main road, but excellent beer garden round the back overlooking dirty river. Good beer on our visit, Mordue Workie Ticket, £3. Must be a pub co brisk - 29 Jun 2012 12:57 |
Sorry, it's not actually on Trip Advisor. So, food is just well-overpriced pub grub of no character and poor choice. Also we ordered pork steaks and they sent crappy chops with no meat on. Take a look in then drive on by. Richardhuddleston - 22 Jul 2011 23:42 |
Four handpumps, three with beer tonight. Bombadier (...Christ), Kelham Island Pale Rider and Copper Dragon Golden Pippin. Kelham Island crap, I find it hard to believe it wasn't something else. First Copper Dragon full of flock. They changed the barrel - second pint crystal clear and tasteless. I've never had Golden Pippin tasteless before. Massive screen, open plan pub, lot of scrotes late on Friday night. My mate says the Pippin is usually good. Food also crap and overpriced - see Trip Advisor. Very disappointing.
