user reviews of the Old Oak, Arlesey

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

A typical faux GK style village pub interior and only GK ales on offer (IPA and Abbot) swerved them and had a Kronenbourg instead. Okay for what it is - closest pub to the station.

Not bad pub which is another Greene King tied establishment

Interior is a bit de-void of character but there is a large garden area to the rear and side. Comforty covered smoking area with sofas also out the back.

Normal range of Greene King fair on tap.

OK if you're stopping off for one whilst waiting for a train, but the modernised interior does nothing for the atmosphere. Nice pint of Abbott.

The Old Oak is a cosy, friendly little pub situated a short walk from Arlesey station. Paul and Annette took over the pub late last year and they have really turned the place around. The pub has recently been decorated inside and there is a lovely garden at the back of the pub perfect for those summertime tipples!

Greene King IPA, a good selection of lagers and some very nice wines, are available at reasonable prices. Highly recommended for couples and families alike!

This is a lovely pub, Paul, Annette and staff have worked hard since taking on the Old Oak.
You are guaranteed a warm friendly welcome and can enjoy a nice pint in a friendly atmosphere.
The Oak offers darts, pool, quiz nights, poker and regular live entertainment.
Free Wi-Fi is a nice touch and only a minutes walk from Arlesey railway station.
Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
