Excellent and varied food plus Ringwood beers with great service. A good and relaxing atmosphere

Spacious, tastefully refurbished pub with riverside garden. Beers: Ringwood Best and Fortyniner. Welcoming staff and thoughtfully prepared food. Nice accommodation too.

Stopped here for lunch, could barely move afterwards ... I had a ciabatta filled with bacon & brie and my mate had a BBQ chicken one - both came with chips and small dressed salad and they were under a fiver each!! Fantastic value ... good selection of ales from the barrel, wine by glass and bottle as well as my mates favourite Guiness! They do a carvery on Sundays for 10.95 if the lunch was anything to go by, it will be money well spent!

This pub is pleasant, and much enlarged, with many small rooms opening off a long bar. The selection of drinks is reasonable.
The local Alfa Romeo owners' club meet here, and the prices reflect this!
A friend of mine ate hhere, and said that the food was also overpriced, for what it was.
They have started having a jazz quartet playing once a month, on a Thursday evening.

The pub is now under new management (we visited in early May 2010) and it looks like great changes have already been made! The menu has changed and upon speaking to the staff it being constantly reviewed. They are keen to use locally sourced ingredients and provide high quality meals.

We popped in for a quick drink and ended up staying all evening, we ate there and it was great! My husband had steak which he said was beautiful and I had the pie of the day which was divine! Our children ate too and had the freshly made chicken goujons - such a welcome change from the frozen alternatives!

We can't wait to go back!
