user reviews of the Rose, London

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Nice new pub with really friendly bar staff. I used to hate this pub when it was a really football watching boozer with zero character. It's so much nicer now witrh lovely feel and ambience to it - quite kitch without being uber chic and has a glossy but usable feel to it. Has a great little beer garden for us smokers (no hanging about in teh street) and the wine selection is not bad. I'll be back for more.

A friend recommend i try the Rose as a good venue for my birthday.

I reserved a table for 12 of us which i thought might be a bit of a problem but it wasn't. The pub is deceptively large and they were able to give us a lovely long table round one side of teh very cool circular bar which was perfect.

The pub was quite busy on Sunday but they treated us really well and the food was great - really traditional Sunday lunch with big portions and brilliantly cooked.

I spoke to Emily who runs the pub and she explained that they poached a couple of chefs from other London pubs and how good they were. I can only agree having wolfed down my lunch in double quick time and followed it up with a sumptuous chocolate brownie cake and cream. delicious.

The staff were really friendly and made us feel very welcome - more so that the family next to us but i can't blame them as we were pretty rowdy.

I relly reommend this pub and will be making a return trip shortly.

This pub has just reopened. It used to be a really rank, beery, football pub but it's totally changed.

The new propretiors have really turned it around and focused more on the food & ambience than lager & crisps - thank goodness!

I went with the family on Sunday and we had a great time. I love my Sunday roasts and the beef was exquisit. Even my 2 girls who are really fussy eaters enjoyed it, although the kids food was a little expensive at 6. Still they cleaned their plates which is better than they do at home so i can't complain.

The pub was quite quiet when we were there, but that's because people are yet to discover it, but that played into our hands and the kids were able to play in on the floor and in the walled-pub garden without bothering the other guests.

The staff were really friendly and looked after us.

All round a great pub and would thoroughly recommend a visit to anyone.

I had lunch at the Rose on Sunday and it was fantastic.

I went with a few mates and we stayed all day. The Rose is a great open-plan pub with nice decor and a really friendly feel to it. The food was incredible and we washed it down with far too many bottles of wine - Monday was tough!

I got speaking to the new owner who seems lovely and is really committed to making this pub a feature of Fulham life. Good luck to her - after a series of owners this pub needs a good dose of TLC!

They're offering 10% of food which makes it good value and definately one to check out.

I visited the newly opened Rose for lunch last Sunday and found it to be a delight. Since reopening under its new name the food is vastly improved and the decor inside is excellent. I met the new landlady who was lovely - she explained that it is still a work in progress, so I can't wait to go back and see what else has been done and to eat there again. Highly recommended if you are looking for somewhere good to eat in the Fulham area.
