| I have read the other review on here, and whilst I agree in the past the beer may have not been up to scratch, you'll struggle to find a better pint within 10 miles, a lot has changed in the last 12 months. The one big let down has been the toilets, however the landlord assures me he is in the process of building some new facilities. He says there are pictures on his Facebook page (a claim I have yet to verify). The beer is very well priced and is excellent in taste, the Sunday dinners are proper home cooked meals and I have even seen some of the regulars take one away to eat at home. Although they don�t do meals daily, they have introduced a Steak Night, which is usually the first Wednesday of every month. During the week this pub suits the couple or sports fan as football matches are always shown if available. At the weekends it would be fine for just about everyone. shadyshotton - 26 Mar 2012 16:51 |
| Blower was founded by Arthur Blower in the 1920s, from coal profits. It was once Landywood Working Men's Club. A large, white rendered, free-standing building, the inside has been gutted out and its all wood, Sports TVs (Setanta once, Sky etc). The place is like Wyrley and Cheslyn's version of a local Bar Sports. Beer - well, its fizz and nothing much else.
