| Large corner plot pub just a few steps from the Oak Tavern. After a couple of pints in the Oak I thought I'd stop for a pint here before heading back into town. Toby Bitter and John Smith's Extra Cold on gravity but no hand pumps on the bar. I went for a bottle of Spitfire, £2.65 and to be honest a bit too cold but I’d rather drink this than crappy lager. Only half a dozen blokes in on my early Saturday afternoon visit, but this isn’t a bad pub but nothing much to report, pleasant enough. lezford - 23 Dec 2013 12:47 |
