| Recently closed. Went in a few weeks before on a Saturday night, and it was dead. Four other people in there, one being the barman's girlfriend. It looked like they'd tried to go trendy and it was awful. A redundant video-jukebox, a giant telly in one corner showing freeview music channel The Hits, big mirrors, coloured LEDs in the window, those ubiquitous Pete McKee cartoons and the names of irritating band like The Jam scrawled on the wall. | I've been in this pub a few times now and I find the girls behind the bar to be very miserable and not wanting to be here. The real ale on offer was in tip top form so that was the only plus. If you want a better pub try The Mount pleasant up the road. Caskales - 4 Aug 2013 16:55 |
