Looks like it is being turned into a Spanish Restaurant opening in September.

I went past on the bus a couple of weeks ago. The pub/bar is now closed. There is a board up advertising it for let, retail or restaurant use.

This bar is amazing! Just what we needed in Chigwell. Music is good, crowd are good, no trouble, good atmosphere! It's a bar, not a club! I think Neil_floor is a bit of a plonker - after all, he's saying that all they did is 'paint in black and stick bouncers on the door'. Well, the place is completely different to The White Hart, as it has leather booths, a small dance floor, VIP and 2 bars. Maybe he hasn't actually been there and has nothing else better to do than to put negative feedback on sites, as he is a bit of a loser! Probably sits at home all weekend on his own, watching the discovery channel! Get a life mate!

This used to be The White Hart, but "The White Powder" would have been far more appropriate. Following its refurbishment into some sort of faux-nightclub, it is an overpriced den full of rude staff and morons thinking that they're the centre of the universe... so pretty much all they've done is paint it black and stick bouncers on the door. AVOID!
