user reviews of Victoria Inn, Northampton

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

As always seems to be the case when you find a decent pub with good beer time constrains your ability to take advantage of it. Had a pint of the Vale IPA (other ales were available). Not one of the easiest pubs to find but it is only a 5 minute walk from the bus station (if you have a map).

this pub has been making a brilliant effort over the past year, and normally has 5 or 6 good real ales. however, yesterday the pub had 4 pumps off, and only one actual ale on sale, and that was vale best which is always on.

Had this not happened, i`d have given this pub 8 out of 10. If their standards slip with regards to number of beers available, so will their trade!!

Vale Brewery pub. Visited Saturday evening as the band was setting up. Four Vale beers and Hoggleys Northamptonshire Bitter. They had sold out of a couple of other ales including Ironbridge. Also sell Chimays and Duvel. Excellent street corner pub.

IF YOU LOVE REAL ALE THIS IS THE BEST PUB IN NORTHMPTON!
Called in to try out this classic Victorian Pub on the back of the recent CAMRA Awards it's been picking up and wasn't disappointed.
EIGHT Real Ales on offer plus a NINTH poured directly from a cask sat on the bar! All the ones I tasted in tip top condition!
Alan the Landlord was very knowledgable and friendly and quickly introduced me to the regulars around the bar.
Wish it was closer to home! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
