Fabulous pub! We were over here from the mainland with a group of supporters prior to our game against Guernsey RFC. The place has a lovely atmosphere and landlord, staff and locals were all very friendly. The beer was great – I was drinking Olde Trip. Highly recommended.

Nice pubby feel and would have enjoyed my visit a lot but the local Mild was below par.

First visit to this pub and we enjoyed it. 3 beers available (no local brew so I had Everards Tiger but Black Sheep Bitter and Thwaites LancasterBomber were also on). Nice feel to the place and staff were helpful and friendly enough. Didn't eat but the food looked good and there were a few people in even for a midweek late lunchtime. Brewery advertising ion the walls and books; newspapers and magazines availble to read. Didn't get next door as we wanted to visit the little restored sweetshop/parlour down the hill but we will be back and visit both pubs again. Well worth the short walk up from town.

Would be rude not to pop in if you're at the Cock and Bull; unlike next door it also does food. Beer range is OK but, as noted, a bit on the pricey side.

Excellent value food with good portions at reasonable prices plus some well kept cask ales. Worth a short walk from the town centre, can be combined with a visit to the Cock and Bull next door too!
