| This is an old style pub in a row of terraced houses, a proper workingman�s local. There are 3 rooms, there is a cosy bar area to the right as you enter with a few seats and tables along with a few barstools. To the right is a lounge with faded and slightly shabby seating and a games room with a pool table. It�s badged as a Thwaites pub and has been for as long as I can remember, however the only cask ale on was Black Sheep bitter which was fine and at �2 is a bit of a steal. The landlady has been here for 22 years and as far as I can see the pub hasn�t changed much in all that time. Long may it continue in its little timewarp. ROBCamra - 14 Sep 2009 15:00 |
