| Quiet pub on busy crossroads just south of city centre, typical victorian brick built pub with traditional interior, note the Vaux signs still in place and the rather pleasant exterior woodwork. A friendly pub with a good local following especially with racing buffs, the TV is set to the racing results and betting forecasts all afternoon. Theakston's Best, John Smith's Cask and a guest in good nick plus S&N kegs. Comfortable, old fashioned public bar at the front with a strangely bare area and a pool table to the right hand side.
