done up a year or so ago, much better than before. Little garden and nice ambiance.

Handy for my visit to the dome, had Harvey's which was really good. Clean surroundings and quite pleasant really. For those of you who can't remember when pubs had proper names, this used to be The Black Horse. It's a good bar, one of many in the area.

Popped in for just a half of Harvey's Sussex. Drink was okay, price was fine and place was very nicely decorated. I might go back but it didn't really grab me, though it's a nice looking pub i like my pubs with a larger selection of ales on and they only had 2.

Once the sort of pub that gives pubs a bad name being cheerless and unwelcoming (and that was just the bar staff) this has now been transformed into a bright, attractive bar with friendly staff. Although I prefer boozers to bars, Id go there again, despite the poncey name.

Comfortable and gay friendly. That doesn't mean to say you shouldn't go if you are straight, it's welcoming to all. Boring lagers and only a couple of ales slightly disappoint but it's still an ok stop on a rainy afternoon.
