Although we're not keen on Greene King, we do use this pub quite regularly. It is hugely improved now that it is under new management. Nice pint of Tribute last weekend. Keep bringing in guest ales! We'll drink lemonade if there is only GK IPA on offer!

Rude arrogant locals make this a pub you never want to return to. Seriously take this advice.

New to the area and came across this charming pub on a Sunday afternoon. I should make it clear Im not normally poster on these forums but in light of many of the negative reviews posted I feel obliged to offer my own review
Only intended to drop in for a drink but after seeing the roast dinners being served we decided to stay for lunch and we werent disappointed.
Service was friendly and efficient but the roast lamb with all the trimmings was fantastic, clearly this pub has made significant strides since some of the earlier reviews were posted.
The garden also looks like it will be great for those drinks in the summer but it was a little too cold to enjoy it in November.

Good luck to the new landlords and keep up the good work. Will definitely return

Popped in here on sunday after hearing that it is under new management, which is such a relief...its a great pub and the new landlords (discovered there are two of them managing it) are determined to succeed, and they seem to have already made big strides. Great service and the food was excellent!
