| The Lifeboat is great pub situated on Shipping Brow, between the harbour and shopping area in Maryport. The pub itself is small but comfortable, served by a single bar at one end. Four real ales are currently available: Jennings Bitter and Cockerhoop, along with two other rotating local real ales. All the real ales sell for the princely sum of �2.00 per pint!! The beers that I tried were served in great condition and very tasty. Apparently, the pub re-opened in 2008 after period of closure, but seems to be marking its mark locally.
