user reviews of Three Tuns, Staple

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

My friend and I ordered four drinks and a bar snack, sat quietly in a corner chatting, and at 5 to 11 were asked to leave by an irate barmaid/landlady who told us we had occupied their couches for long enough and other people needed them. She was obviously annoyed that we hadn't spent more money, so transparent was her greed. We left immediately, as she ushered people from the dining room into our seats with a sigh of relief, as the troublesome guests had left(!!) Awful, awful people and experience.....

Very imposing brick inn, partly modernised but retaining many original features (including two - very welcome - blazing log fires on a cold winter day). Emphasis on food and accomodation, but two handpumps for beers from the nearby Ramsgate Brewery plus another for Greene King IPA. Enjoyed my pint of Gadds Scottish-style '80/-' ale. The owners are making an effort here, and it shows.
