| I am surprised that nobody has previously reviewed the Eden since in a town that, frankly, is a bit short on decent watering holes (the scene is dominated by a 'Spoons and a Goose) this place stands out as a welcome oasis of civilization. I only ever use it at lunchtimes when it is pretty empty - great for the customer wanting a comfortable seat; less good for the cash flow - but regulars tell me that in the evenings, especially Thursday, Friday and Saturday, it is packed to the gills. Sensible choice of not too pricey wines in the Manager's Selection, decent sandwiches, full range of other drinks and generally pretty restful atmosphere.
