As this is beer in the evening, rather than food, I'll pass on that.

However, I didn't find much atmosphere to the place, and the ale was unmemorable.

At first sight appealing to passing trade, it had rather a commercial roadhouse feel to it once inside we thought.

I'm surprised at the high rating, but I see a lot of one hit wonders here.

We recently visited this lovely looking pub, that is where the good comments end, the wine and soda my wife ordered was soda with a dash of wine (wine not measured). The food was not good, my veg must have been a week old, my lamb shank even though bought in was not cooked properly or even warmed up properly and not enough meat to feed a bird, the club sandwich was not, not toasted, just a poorly made cold chicken & mayo sandwich, also left left overs served with cold chips. The service or lack off, no one ask if we were ok, not even when we came to pay, the land lady could not even look me in the eye not even a thank you. a very poorly run pub

We are vistors from Holland & we were touring in the area.
On are way to Glastonbury we stopped off at the Pipers Inn for lunch.
We had an excellent meal and did not have worry about parking so could take our time. It was a lovely sunny day so ate in the garden area and had a lovely 2 hours rest before carrying on. We were made so welcome.
Next time don't drive past the Pipers Inn - pop in & have a pleasant few hours.

A well presented local pub.
We have recently had a family party here, the hospitality was second to none, all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The buffet was exceptional with a wide variety of choice to suit all.
Although there was over 90 of us and obviously other customers no one had to wait long at the bar to be served.
After having such a good night 8 of us returned the following day for the Sunday carvery which once again was excellent.
Well done Roger And Christine and your team !!!!!!!!!!
