| I visited the King's Head for the first time recently with friends who are also discerning drinkers. The pub is attractive and has a cosy old time low- ceilinged charm and the bar staff are friendly and proficient. However, it fell down badly on the quality of the ales. We drank three of the four Shepherd Neame ales on offer and all of them were unacceptably out of condition to the point of being practically flat. We have enjoyed the "pride of Faversham" for many years around Kent and in London but not on this occasion. They were among the worst pints of Shepherd Neame we have had. | Very nice pub. Well kept beer, excellent staff and nice atmosphere. Nice decor too. In a market increasingly vandalised with Farrow & Ball colour schemes, bleached ropes and piles of pebbles, this seaside pub retains a charming, timeless feel. Delightful. bighands - 17 Aug 2013 12:30 |
