| Stayed the night and also had a meal and a pint or two. Room was very clean and comfortable. Lamb shank really nice and the beer was in superb condition. Would go back again for any or all of the above. The two behind the bar were very friendly and welcoming. lot14 - 16 Mar 2013 21:47 |

| A large, modernised pub with plenty of semi-separate eating areas. It seems to cater for visitors and parties more than for village locals (there are other pubs in Brinklow for them) but it was the only one offering food on a Monday evening. There was nobody just drinking, though the Black Sheep beer was in good condition. Food, unless you eat before 19.00 and get an "early bird" meal, is not cheap and very ordinary.
