Shabby run down place.
I was in early last Saturday evening and just 4 other customers two playing pool.
The other two tw@tes were sat at at the bar blocking my view of the hand pulls of which there were 6 -2 were unused.
I managed to workout that they had High House Farm Sunchaser & something called Sharks Head. The other was called after a unhealthy relasionship with a Sheep. I tried this and it was not bad @ £3.25 a pint. I pump for Cider.
TV was on showing German Footy.

Well positioned pub in the town centre, popular with students. Interesting selection of beers & ciders and very welcoming.
On the down side, the whole place feels unfinished.

only ever visited once, during the recent stroud fringe festival, and it was a very decent place to include on a crawl of the town during the festival. lovely hog roast, live music outside, 15 or so different beers and as many ciders to try. only one of them was nice but thats not the point ha ha. fun place.

Large town centre pub (about 10 minutes from the station) with a large outdoor area.

Black Rat cider, and 4 ales on yesterday from Black Country, W Berks, Dawkins and Dangerfield. Reasonably priced. Gets busy in the evenings with live music.

Worth a visit.
