| Probably the "smartest" pub in Melksham, as befits its prestigious location overlooking the market square. Food so-so, and beer (Wadworths) usually ok, albeit amongst the most expsensive in the area (�3.00 for a pint of 6X in Aug'08). However the bar is often very quiet and the disinterested staff have been known to close the pub early if there is little or no custom. It can be pleasant to sit outside on warmer days, but this summer there are only have a couple of scruffy uncomfortable benches. spooley - 18 Aug 2008 17:35 |
