Nearest pub to campsite we could find. Had two ales on, both OK.

The view across the loch is fantastic. Can't think of anything else good to say about this place, but then I'm prejudiced against anywhere that has no proper beer.

We had an overnight stop in Arrochar and had a few drinks and food here. There was a 70s disco night starting at 9pm, but they were serving food up to then. We had no problems with service (a bit slow, maybe, but otherwise fine) , the staff were friendly, and the food very good. The outdoor area over the lock is very pleasant.

Beer choice a bit limited- no real ale- but it was OK.

My partner & I visited this pub for a bar meal. The lounge was full but we found a table then went and order drinks and 2 meals we were told they were no longer serving meals. This was 7.30pm. Two other couples came in only 2 seats left at our table they sat down with us and asked us to pass the menu we said the kitchen is closed they replied it does not close till 9pm and then went to the bar and ordered 4 meals. We finished our drinks and left. I now realise the locals meant more to the landlord than the tourists. I will never visit this pub again

visited arrochar in april 2007.
this pub is a modern-styled village bar by loch long, aimed at attracting a younger crowd I think.
regular music.
smaller bar at front, larger bar to rear.
the rear bar is a little basic but has a long, windowed rear view with an impressive view out over the loch.
outdoor garden seating at the rear also faces over the loch.
pleasant in summer, so long as not too rowdy.
