| This is a really lovely-looking pub situated right on the A127 London - Southend Arterial Road at Wickford, Essex. Thought we would give it a try, as it is really lovely-looking from the outside. BUT that is where it ends......... VERY tired-looking and drab inside. Good choice of food menu, but I had a mixed grill (which wasn't very nice). My fried egg was very runny and ran all over my chicken breast!! and my partner had rump steak which wasn't that nice. The desserts do look nice though. Had much better food in pubs bit nearer home and wouldn't rush back there. Shame, really as it does look nice from the outside CookieEssex - 2 May 2011 21:19 |
