It's like a second home to me, and has been for the last 20 years (OMG that's how long I've been working in Mayfair!). Marco and the boys always provide an extremely warm welcome and whether eating at the bar or in the restaurant, good food is always guaranteed.

No reviews in over five years? Happily I can report that Fino's continues to retain consistently high standards.

'Mayfair wine bar' may conjure (in my mind at least) potential for the worst kind of bling snobbishness but fortunately that couldn't be further from the truth. Fino's is as cosy and welcoming a cellar bar as one could expect to find in London. Wine prices are reasonable and the free bar snacks, in particular the hand cooked crisps, are delicious. The decor is reminiscent of a bygone age but personally I find it fairly charming.

The only concern? That word gets out and this place becomes a victim of its own success a la Gordon's.

A nice cosy place to go, with fabulous freshly cooked crisps in the bar in the evening, nice atmosphere and cute cubbyholes. The food is nice, if somewhat uninspired, a sandwhich is a sandwhich, but the Sauasage & Mash looked fab, not much space to eat in the bar if there are more than two of you

The staff here are lovely. It used to be a local work haunt of mine and although the cheap wine is lethal if you fork out a bit extra they have a good range. Plus they always used to give us free peanuts and garlic bread..
