I had a work function lunch here. We were in the room out at the back. The real ale handpump in the attached bar wasn't working, but there was one working handpump in the main pub bar. The food was excellent. There was canned music, which is not everyone's cup of tea.

Another excellent meal there last evening, and very pleased to see that alongside the normal London Pride and Courage Best they had Bingham's Twyford Tipple. This was on excellent form and I hope they keep stocking it as local beers are preferable to "the usual".

Had a very nice meal there last night with my wife; we shared the seafood platter, then she had the pork and I had the steak burger. I'm told the pork was good, and the burger was lovely - very fat and juicy - and the chips were chunky and hot. Had to take a break after that because we were very full, but we did eventually manage to share a suitably rich chocolate cake dessert.

Service was efficient (no problem when we asked for a top-up of my wife's 2/3 full cup of coffee) and I would say it was good value - 62 including 2 pints of London Pride, a glass of white and one coffee. There was also a small plate of complementary olives and bread.

Deservedly popular.

Very posh place - and expensive! Actually, quite relieved they couldn't find us a table to eat at. Surprised to find a drinkable ale in "Hullaballoo" there though. Don't know if it's changed but didn't seem to be the "knees up" type of place some people have described but the staff seemed attentive, will return when I've saved up for my bow tie?

Great food even if a little pricey. Bit pretentious so wont suit the traditionalists but still friendly and comfortable.
