Good news at last for the currently closed Globe And Engine,Sittingbourne station. This pub has been taken over by new tennants.I spoke to Charlie and Max this morning whilst in passing and they showed me over the hard work they have put in so far transforming the interior of this pub.I must say i was most impressed with what they have done and im looking forward to the re-opening some time the end of this week.As an expericenced Tennant Charlie has some good ideas, and plans to offer Good traditional pub grub and Real Ales.Cant wait-about time shep-neame !

Absolutely disgraceful Shepherd Neame pub which has no positives whatsoever. I was with Leebs on the afternoon in question and quickly rued choosing this pub over buying 3 cans from the Kent Mart 100 yards away. xfoxyx MUST be the landlord or has mistaken this place for somewhere else. Grotty interior and unpleasant clientel first struck me when I stepped into this shocking boozer. Master Brew was available but I can't stand it so plumped for the usually reliable Oranjeboom. 4 pints, 12 lighter and all 4 of us are practically chundering in the yard at the back (accessed by crossing over the oche for the darts). The most unpleasant pint I have ever had, a very odd colour too, not dark enough to be proper Oranje, there was clearly something wrong. On the way out I noticed the other 3 or 4 people in were drinking Hurlimann.

AVOID THIS TERRIBLE EXCUSE FOR A PUB, SHEPHERD NEAME, HAVE SOME SENSE AND CLOSE IT FOR THE GOOD OF THE PUBLIC BEFORE THE LOCAL COUNCIL ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH OFFICERS STEP IN.

Went in there today before heading over to Bourne Park for a Maidstone United game, and to say i was unimpressed would be an understatement. There was 4 of us who all ordered an Orangeboom, which usually we all enjoy. However on this occasion there was clearly something awry as it tasted very much like it had been watered down, or something to that effect. Not only that, the pool table had an extremely noticable slant towards one end and the darts board had clearly seen better days, although it has to be said was no worse than any other dart board i've used before.

This pub is brilliant. everyone in there are so friendly. Entertainment is there is brilliant, karaokes, live music and disco's are held regularly every week. they serve hot snacks of great quality. Would recommend this pub to anyone!!
